Hello all

 Hello everyone, Welcome to my new blog, Myrina Musings. I have an IG page of the same name, where i mainly post book reviews but here i will be sharing all about life, kids, shows, movies, books, you name it. Just my vent a gram, if you will. 

My previous blog, Marissa Pink was discontinued when i had my first child, Ayra. Well, on May 23rd, I just had my third child, Alhumdulillah. I now have two daughters and a son and life has never been busier. But since I have a million thoughts in my head, I thought I would start writing again. 

Instagram has been my lifeline these past five years. I started a makeup page named Glambymyrina and it turns out, I'm really quite good at makeup. But i just don't have the time for it anymore, sadly. One thing i don't like about instagram is that its mainly a visual app. If i want to write a book review, i need to take pictures along with it to post on my page. And i'm really bad at those. So why not get back to blogging.

Let's see where my mind takes me next!

How IG helped me with baby number 3

It's no secret that taking care of babies is hard. I didn't know that until i had Ayra and boy, that first year was a wakeup call. Whoo! I followed everyone's advice, old wive's tales to be honest and it got me nowhere. Being my first baby, I had alot of problems with Ayra. She rejected the bottle, did not want a pacifier and essentially, at one point, she didn't sleep unless she was attached to me. That made for a few very hectic months and led me to implement the Cry It Out method, which by the way, everyone in my house hated me for. But i had no choice, i simply could not carry on like that. Eventually she settled down and i also embraced exclusively feeding her.  Baby two, Alina was a self soother from the start. She used to suck on her hand or her inner cheek to go to sleep and so she made for an unusually easy baby. As hard as Ayra's first year had been, Alina's was the complete opposite.
